BIG ASS BEAM PROJECT

Create an AIA Center for Houston to include exhibition, office and auditorium. Address threshold, hierarchy of actions, sequence of spaces and a big ass beam. Initial research of project area included investigation between lighting and economic divides.
Section drawings were drawn with the corresponding plan as cut along the ground plane.
The auditorium is floated in the building between two Big Ass Beams. The section model below illustrates one of the beams and its ability to take on massive loads.
